"I don't know. It's like a frozen waterfall."
"Should we go through it? What's on the other side," Angie said, with an intense stare.
Vickie reached out to touch the curtain of water. Her hand sliced through it like a hot knife through butter.
Everything came to life. Colors were profoundly vivid.
"I want to go through."
Angie stood still, pale and afraid of change. Afraid to leave the darkness.
"I'll see you on the other side if you find the courage." Vickie closed her eyes and walked through the water. It washed her from the crown of her head to the bottom of her feet, restoring her to a new life and she welcomed it wholeheartedly but never looked back.
