Madelyn Brenè delights and inspires audiences on local, national and international stages with her extraordinary talent. Music lovers are intrigued from the moment of her graceful entrance. Her glamorously chic style provides the perfect prelude for what soon follows. Anticipation fills the room, and then it happens - She begins to sing, leaving the awe-struck audience entranced by each captivating note.... from start to finish.
The native of Dallas, Texas is a classically trained graduate of Southern Methodist University, where she studied opera. She masterfully blends Jazz, R&B, World Genres and Classical music. Although this fusion identifies her as a Classical Contemporary vocalist, she never ceases to treat audiences with unexpected surprises that move them to every healing emotion. While her gift and training enable her to effortlessly reach whistle-tone pitches made famous by such artists as Mariah Carey and the late, Minnie Riperton, amazed fans also cherish her sultry, lower registers reminiscent of sensual vocal styles of Sarah Vaughn, Anita baker and other greats. Her unique fusion of music has created much excitement about her debut EP, “All of Me”.
Demonstrating a passion for music as a three-year-old, she later trained and performed with the Dallas Children’s Theatre, Taylor’s School of Music and Mary Lois Dance Academy. She earned top awards in numerous oratorical and vocal competitions throughout Texas. Music has been the center of every phase of this phenomenal vocalist’s life, whether through musical theater, concerts, song-writing, teaching or through commercial work. Madelyn always delivers the perfection that clients and audiences have come to expect, and passing on her wisdom and knowledge to others is important to her. She serves as the principal music instructor for Heights Preparatory School, Dallas Theater Center SummerStage Program, MBF vocal Studio, and is an associate member of the Grammy Recording Academy-Texas Chapter.
Some of her many credits include: The “Musically Madelyn Concert Series” she began in order to share her love of music with Dallas and other area communities, the 2014 Margo Jones theatrical production debut of Ms. Brene's first original stage play,“Ms. Fortner by Day – Ms. Brene by Night.” She has also graced the stage as a featured vocalist with such talented stars as Michelle Williams, of “Destiny’s Child”, Kenny Lattimore, and with actress Regina King at the 2014 Women that Soar Awards.
Madelyn has also performed with the Turtle Creek Chorale and Uptown Players in the Production Ragtime and Theatre Three's production of “A Catered Affair”. In 2010 she performed with Tony Award winners Karen Ziemba, Jennifer Holiday and acclaimed actor/singer, Ron Raines at the Myerson Symphony Center and the Majestic Theatre. Ms. Brené was also featured in the chorus of the 2008 production of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with the Dallas Opera. She performed as the “2nd Lady” in Mozart’s DieZauberflote at the Almafi Coast Music Festival in Naples, Italy. She has also portrayed the roles of “Yvette”, in scenes from Puccini’s La Rondine, and “Carla”, in scenes from Maury Yeston’s, “Nine” at the Vocal Arts Symposium in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Some of her commercial and film credits include Hillcrest Medical Center, Six Flags, Purina Puppy Chow and TGIF Friday’s. She has received numerous awards and honors including the Bruce Foote scholarship award, Pilgrim Rest Scholar Award and the Shivers Foundation award.
